Company registration in Hungary

A Kft. is formed by articles of association countersigned by a Hungarian attorney, who files them electronically with the Company Court; legal representation is mandatory and the founders cannot self-file online. Using the statutory template triggers the simplified procedure decided within a working day. Foreign members or officers without a Hungarian address must appoint a Hungarian delivery agent alongside the registration.

Common mistakes

  • Using bespoke articles when the template would have secured the one-working-day simplified procedure.
