Company registration in Greece

An IKE is formed through the GEMI One-Stop Shop; founders with an active Greek tax number and TaxisNet credentials can complete it themselves on e-YMS with the standard statutes, and the company exists on submission. The rule foreign founders trip on is the tax number: every founder must already hold a Greek AFM, otherwise the file must go through a chamber or a notary.

Common mistakes

  • Trying to use custom statutes or in-kind contributions on e-YMS, which only accepts the standard statutes.
  • Assuming a third-country founder who will live in Greece can skip the residence title.
