An s.r.o. is entered in the Commercial Register by a registry court within two working days of an electronic proposal filed via slovensko.sk or a notary. The founding deed is a notarial deed or a lawyer-authorised document, and the seat needs the owner's certified consent. How to register a company in Slovakia, step by step

  1. Secure a seat and obtain the property owner's consent with an officially certified signature.
  2. Have the founding deed drawn up as a notarial deed or lawyer-authorised document.
  3. Pay in at least 30% of each cash contribution and 50% of the €5,000 minimum.
  4. Obtain trade licences and, for non-EU/OECD directors, a Slovak residence permit.
  5. File the proposal electronically (slovensko.sk or a notary) and pay the €220 court fee.
  6. Receive the registration within two working days and activate the company's e-mailbox.
