How to register a company in Thailand, step by step
- Reserve the company name with the DBD (online).
- File the Memorandum of Association naming at least two promoters and the registered capital.
- Subscribe all shares, hold the statutory meeting and appoint directors and an auditor.
- Pay at least 25% of the share value and file the company registration (fee from THB 5,500), online via e-Registration or at a DBD office.
- Register for corporate tax ID and VAT/employer accounts if needed.
- Check the Foreign Business Act lists and apply for a Foreign Business Licence if the company is majority foreign-owned in a reserved activity.
